We’re saddened by the closure of the Corporation for Public Broadcasting (CPB). The CPB has been a successful American public-private partnership for nearly 60 years. Funds provided by CPB helped entire generations of Americans get a head start on learning with quality children’s programming. It also helped provide critical emergency alerts during times of crisis. While Vegas PBS has other revenue to draw from, the closure of CPB will be felt most prominently in the services provided to children and families, as well as emergency broadcasting.
