PBS KIDS initiative America’s Awesome Kids
In 2026, America will celebrate the 250th anniversary of our founding as a nation. In preparation for this semiquincentennial, Vegas PBS is launching America’s Awesome Kids, an initiative that seeks to capture and showcase a wide range of kids (ages 8-10) and their unique geographies, customs, interests, skills, and experiences.

Interested? In a short video (2-3 minutes), share what’s awesome about your interests, hobbies, talents, culture, traditions, family, community, local landmarks, natural environment, and anything else you’d like us to know.

If selected, a production team will come to your hometown to film you, for a chance to be featured, along with other kids across the country, on PBS KIDS in Summer 2026.
