Django Vegas

Event Details

Django Vegas is an annual celebration of the Manouche jazz tradition made popular by legendary guitarist Django Reinhardt — featureing various performers from around the world who pay tribute to Django by continuing the tradition of “hot club-style” Manouche jazz.

Headliner Joscho Stephan shapes modern swing with his playing like no other! With his authentic tone, his harmonic finesse and his sense of rhythm, but above all with his breathtaking solo technique, Stephan has earned himself an outstanding reputation on the international guitar scene.

Fellow headliner Paulus Schäfer is one of the most talented guitarists of our time. Born into the Dutch Sinti community, he learned to play guitar at an early age, including from Waso Grünholz, a legend within the Sinti community, who encouraged him to develop his own sound.

Local Django Vegas alumnus, Mundo Juillerat's The Hot Club of Las Vegas, will perform separately as well as back the solo guitarists. The band, which started as a passion project, performs Django jazz music past and present, as well as boleros, flamenco, rhumbas, and more.
