February 27: FAIRYTALES presented by the Henderson Symphony Orchestra

Alexandra Arrieche conducts Henderson Symphony Orchestra in its FAIRYTALES concert, presenting timeless stories with magical creatures and extraordinary events.
Debussy’s "Prelude to the Afternoon of a Faun" tells the story of a faun who awakens from a nap and falls madly in love with a nymph. This brief piece of music (just 9 minutes long) is considered one of the first examples of modern music due to its innovative harmonies and orchestration.
In "Mother Goose," Ravel translates a collection of classical literature, including "Beauty and the Beast" and "The Fairy Garden," into music.
Pianist Alexandria Le will then join the HSO to perform Ravel’s Piano Concerto in G Major.
With a long tradition of providing free concerts and events to residents throughout the Las Vegas Valley , the HSO provides 11 concerts a year in a variety of venues.
