Native UNLV and the Las Vegas urban Indigenous community are collaborating to present the 4th annual Powwow for the Planet. This event aims to champion cultural preservation and leadership development amongst Native youth, advocacy for environmental justice and the protection of Indigenous sacred places in Nevada.
The two-day event — which will be hosted at UNLV — will showcase traditional powwow dancing, drumming, authentic Native arts and craft vendors and food vendors.
