In Remembrance: Memorial Day Across Southern Nevada

Memorial Day Weekend — the last weekend in May — is often seen as marking the unofficial kickoff to summer in Las Vegas, with its pool parties, dayclubs, and music festivals. But it also carries a deeper purpose: honoring the fallen heroes who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to their country and communities.

Across Southern Nevada, local groups mark the occasion with commemorative ceremonies, patriotic parades, and quiet moments of reflection. Here are several Memorial Day observances you can take part in and pay your respects.
