Vegas PBS Holds 2026 Be My Neighbor Day in Downtown Summerlin

LAS VEGAS, NV —Vegas PBS Be My Neighbor Day returns on Saturday, October 3 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at The Lawn at Downtown Summerlin.
Be My Neighbor Day is a free outdoor event that promotes being a caring neighbor.
Attendees can engage in community-faced acts of kindness and take part in family-friendly activities. PBS KIDS' beloved character Daniel Tiger will be on stage for guest appearances throughout the day.
Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood is an Emmy-winning animated preschool program that models age-appropriate social-emotional strategies and practical life skills for young children. The first TV series inspired by the iconic Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood, Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood stars 4-year-old Daniel Tiger, who invites young viewers into his world, giving them a kid’s-eye view of his life.
“Together with over 70community-sponsored booths, we are committed to creating a welcoming event that invites all neighbors to participate, connect, and feel valued,” said Vegas PBS Executive Director of Education & Business Development Niki Brunetti. “This year’s Be My Neighbor Day will feature a video wall and activities designed to encourage meaningful conversations and deepen the message of kindness and community.”
This event is made possible with the generous support from our local community supporters and Presenting Sponsors Howard Hughes and PNC Bank.
“Through PNC Grow Up Great®, we have spent more than 20 years helping children gain the skills and experiences that support success in school and life,” said Denette Suddeth, PNC Bank regional president and head of Commercial Banking for Nevada. “This is why we’re excited to be part of Vegas PBS Be My Neighbor Day since it brings Southern Nevada families, educators and community partners together around a shared commitment to children and lifelong learning.”
