Through September 30: One Book, One Henderson


Henderson Libraries' One Book, One Henderson program aims to rally the community to all discuss the same book.
Its fifth year is now underway — and the 2026 book, "The Dark Maestro," is currently available at Henderson Library locations as well as accessible online. Written by Brendan Slocumb, who has worked as a public and private school music educator for more than 20 years, it tells a moving tale survival and perseverance with many twists and turns.
A variety of programs inspired by the book include:
Established in 1944 as a single library in Downtown Henderson, Henderson Libraries operates five locations in Henderson, providing free access to materials, programs, and services to meet the diverse and varied needs of the community throughout Southern Nevada.
