Through Green Our Planet’s STEM garden and hydroponics programs across Nevada, students have been growing produce from seed to harvest, building a connection with nature and their food, all while engaging in hands-on STEM learning. This fall, more than 35 schools and over 400 students will gather at the Clark County Government Center to share the fruits of their labor with the Las Vegas community.
Leading up to the Giant Student Farmers Market, students harvest their produce, create handcrafted products, and develop their own business plans as part of the Financial Literacy component of Green Our Planet’s programming.
