February 7: Gospel Fest 2026

Gospel Fest aims to foster unity, hope, and inspiration through the joy of gospel music and community connection. The 24th annual event will feature uplifting performances from Stellar Award recipients Earnest Pugh and Brent Jones — plus inspiring appearances by local pastors, community leaders, and gospel groups.
Local performers will include:
General admission seating in the amphitheater and overflow seating in the plaza's lower bowl, with a simulcast of the concert on the plaza's digital screen. A limited quantity of chairs will be provided. Guests are welcome to bring personal lawn chairs or blankets.
A full vendor market will be on the plaza to provide merchandise and services.
Dr. Earnest Pugh is a Stellar Award Winner, Emmy Award Winner, Dove Award Nominee and 5x #1 Billboard Artist who has released 13 Gospel CDs to date.
A 20–year veteran in the Gospel Music Industry, Pugh is a recipient of the prestigious BMI Award for radio airplay. A notable accomplishment of his is being featured at the Kennedy Center in Washington, DC where he was honored to sing in the presence of President Barack Obama and the First Family.
After a 20-year career in the United States Army, Dr. Pugh was inspired to establish a non-profit organization, The Stone of Help Foundation (SOH), where his philanthropical efforts bring him great honor throughout the country and garnered him recognition from the Mayor of Houston (where he resides) in support of SOH’s Annual Food/Toy Drive for veterans.
Dr. Pugh is a graduate of Howard University School of Divinity, where he earned a Master of Divinity degree.
Brent Jones, the gospel star and singer/songwriter extraordinaire, has been a trailblazer in the music industry for over two decades. His pioneering work with his urban group Brent Jones & T.P. Mobb laid the groundwork for artists like Kirk Franklin and shaped the landscape of urban contemporary gospel.
In addition to his musical achievements, Jones has achieved Gold & Platinum certification from the Recording Industry Association of America® (RIAA) for his collaboration with Childish Gambino on “Awaken My Love,” a groundbreaking project that sold over a million albums. His contributions extend beyond the music industry, with notable appearances in the DreamWorks movie “Trolls World Tour” and admission into the Screen Actors Guild. Collaborations with superstars like Ariana Grande further solidify Jones’s influence and reach across various genres.
