Nevada Ballet Theatre's premiere of George Balanchine’s The Nutcracker® features his renowned choreography with spectacular scenic and costume design reflective of the art deco spirit of the 1930’s. Revered characters including Dewdrop, The Sugarplum Fairy, Mother Ginger and her Polichinelles, and Divertissements like Coffee, Tea, and Hot Chocolate, lead young Marie Stahlbaum and her Nutcracker Prince through The Land of the Sweets for a journey of pure imagination and childlike wonder. State-of-the-art technology illuminates Tchaikovsky’s sweeping score to create a holiday spectacle for the decades that is both innovative and timeless.
