NEWSROOM | VEGAS PBS WELCOMES ALLISON P. MONETTE AS DIRECTOR OF COMMUNICATIONS AND BRAND MANAGEMENT

LAS VEGAS — Vegas PBS is proud to announce the hiring of Allison P. Monette as the public service television station’s director of communications and brand management.

Monette will be responsible for the accurate and timely dissemination of information pertaining to Vegas PBS’ services and programming, to multiple audiences including the press, listing services, the public, and government entities. She will also manage strategic marketing and public relations initiatives, including consistent branding across all distribution platforms. Monette will direct the efforts of an internal team dedicated to marketing, communications, social media, and various digital platforms.

A communications professional with close to 15 years of experience, Monette began her career as a television news reporter for the NBC affiliate KNDU-TV in Washington state. She transitioned into the realm of communications in 2009. Since then, her work has focused on helping nonprofits and government agencies advance their missions through strategic communications, public relations, branding, digital marketing, and social media initiatives.

“We’re pleased to welcome Allison to the Vegas PBS team,” said Director of Content Cyndy Robbins. “The station will benefit from her broad range of experience and her commitment to our local community.”

Some of the organizations she has served include United Way of Southern Nevada, Catholic Charities of Southern Nevada, Nevada HAND, and the Nevada Attorney General’s office. Prior to joining Vegas PBS, Monette served in various communication roles, including Public Information Officer, at the Clark County School District. She holds a bachelor degree in both Communication Studies and Spanish from the University of San Diego and Master of Communication Management degree from the University of Southern California’s Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism.
