GOAL is committed to the development of new programs and services for individuals to meet the existing and emerging needs of our business community. Workforce online training programs and services will be offered in partnership with professional associations, industry groups, and individual business partners. Many of the partners offer financial assistance for those who qualify.
AHEC Area Health Education Centers - Health Care Professionals can access hundreds of courses, searchable by discipline, to maintain and/or upgrade their certifications and licensure. Programs are designed to enhance critical skills and to ensure quality health care practices with easy access to up-to-date education.
Southern Nevada Health District – A food handler safety training card is required for people employed in or operating a food establishment. The food safety training is only available online. The course is $20 and payable to Vegas PBS when you register for the course. The balance of food handler safety training card fee is paid at the health district during the application process. An additional $15 late fee will be applied to card renewals that have expired.
Founded in 1982, the Nevada Restaurant Association is the leading business association serving the needs of food service operators in Nevada. As an affiliate of the National Restaurant Association, and together with the NVRA Educational Foundation, the Association’s mission is to promote, protect and educate the restaurant industry, which is comprised of more than 5,000 restaurant and foodservice outlets employing more than 150,000 people in Nevada.
Nevada Restaurant Association in partnership with Vegas PBS, offers ServSafe Alcohol online and in-person classes to meet the foodsService industry’s training needs with trusted, reliable, best-in-class curriculum. The ServSafe Alcohol online course is $25 and includes the course, proctored exam, and the Nevada state-required responsible alcohol service card.
Nevada Mentor Project – The Clark County School District enhanced by significant community support, has created and implemented the Reclaim Your Future Mentoring Project. The project is designed to establish a mentoring model that will increase high school graduation through community integration, to provide off-track students with the support they need to be engaged and motivated in school to work successfully towards graduation.
Teacher Licensure and Renewal Courses provided by Vegas PBS TeacherLine are approved by the Nevada Department of Education and the Clark County School District. With the assistance from the CPD office, a number of 15 hour (1 credit) & 30 hour (2-credit) courses meet the requirements for NV license renewal. TeacherLine classes DO NOT replace the requirement to take the PRAXIS. In addition, Vegas Virtual is also approved by the Nevada Department of Education and the Clark County School District to offer in-service credit for license renewal ed2go.com/vegaspbs.
Cleveland Clinic - The Center launched its web site in 2000 to provide medical information to health care professionals, to provide free CME opportunities online, and to provide information about live CME opportunities. For those who want the convenience of anytime learning, the web site now offers more than 300 free online CME activities.

Nevadaworks - This is the local workforce agency coordinating the development of northern Nevada's workforce to meet the training needs of current and potential employers, as well as funding training provider's programs developed to help individuals secure complete training.
Nevada 2-1-1 - From basic needs to any health and human service program, one call to Nevada 2-1-1 offers access to: basic human needs resource; physical and mental health resources; financial stability; programs for children, youth and families; support for older Americans and persons with disabilities; volunteer opportunities and donations; and support for community crisis or disaster recovery. The Nevada 2-1-1 web site includes current news and events, as well as information to help connect families to the help they need.

DETR – The Department of Employment, Training & Rehabilitation consists of divisions that offer assistance in job training and placement, vocational rehabilitation, workplace discrimination and in collecting and analyzing workforce and economic data. Many of these services are provided through DETR's partnership with the Nevada JobConnect system.
