Vegas PBS Ready To Learn airs educational, nonviolent children's programming and interstitials from 6:00am until 6:00pm each weekday on Channel 10. We also air additional RTL shows on EduCable 110 (Cox cable channel 110), throughout the week. For children's educational programming geared exclusively for preschool and kindergarten audiences, also be sure to tune into Vegas PBS Sprout (channel 355 on Cox cable and channel 295 on Satellite).

Watching our RTL programming lineup helps children develop the skills they need to become successful in school and life -- especially when supervising adults follow caregiver viewing tips. RTL programs also host companion web sites which extend the instructional content presented on-air.

Many RTL shows highlight the development of literacy skills as a dominant theme and feature companion books at libraries and bookstores. For instance, the Arthur, Reading Rainbow, and Clifford series are all based directly on children's books. Additionally, Vegas PBS RTL provides thousands of free books each year, in English and Spanish, to disadvantaged kids in our community.

Television viewing need not replace reading books; it can instead be the inspiration for reading more about a fascinating subject whose surface has been barely skimmed onscreen.
