Ready To Learn supports several after-school and summer learning opportunities in our community. You can enjoy Martha Speaks Reading Buddies, Odd Squad Stem Camp or Peg + Cat workshops.

Literacy Curriculum

Martha SpeaksMartha Speaks Reading Buddies 

The Martha Speaks Reading Buddies family engagement workshop is designed to enhance vocabulary. Each session introduces four “special words” highlighted in the Martha Speaks episode, which are reinforced as the families share books, talk, and do fun activities together. The class is designed for grades K-3.

Odd SquadOdd Squad “Be the Agent” 

Odd Squad is a PBS KIDS series that features a television show, online games, and apps in which the Odd Squad agents use math, problem-solving and creativity to solve the case and correct the oddity. Targeted to children ages 5-8, each activity takes approximately 60 minutes in which families become Odd Squad agents using math and science to solve bizarre mysteries and thwart oddball mischief makers.

PBS KIDS Afterschool Adventure!

This resource is a collection of multimedia activities for two age groups (4-5 year olds and 6-8 year olds) based on a particular theme and targeted math skills. Each activity guide includes digital content as well as related literacy connections and hands-on activities that allow children to practice and learn math skills to successfully complete a new adventure.
