The Vegas PBS Fourth Annual 5K Run and 1 Mile Walk supporting the Keeping Kids Fit Child Obesity Program will be held on Saturday, November 16, 2013 at the Vegas PBS Educational Technology Campus.The event benefits Vegas PBS' Keeping Kids Fit Program. Vegas PBS, working with many local and national partners, has a new dynamic, long-term project addressing childhood obesity.
The Vegas PBS Keeping Kids Fit (KKF) project is modeled after the successful Vegas PBS Ready To Learn community outreach program. KKF hopes to continue to expand current services of assisting families with children ages 2-12 from primarily low-income, African-American and Hispanic/Latino backgrounds promoting a lifetime of healthy habits. |
