Reggie Burton Elected to Serve on 2014 National Friends of Public Broadcasting Board of Trustees
(Las Vegas) – Reggie Burton, a longtime member of Southern Nevada Public Television Board of Directors, which raises funds for Vegas PBS, has been elected to serve on the 2014 National Friends of Public Broadcasting Board of Trustees. Burton joins Charlotte Hill, giving the national board two representatives from Southern Nevada Public Television. Burton will begin serving a three-year term on January 16.
The National Friends of Public Broadcasting is a resource that connects public broadcasting volunteer managers and volunteers to their public media colleagues around the country. The mission of the organization is to support volunteerism within public broadcasting through leadership, education, training, mentoring and recognition.
“It is an honor and privilege to represent Vegas PBS as a member of the 2014 Friends of Public Broadcasting Board of Trustees,” said Burton. “Having two members from the same station speaks to Vegas PBS' leadership role within public broadcasting.”
Burton is the founder and owner of Reggie Burton Communications, LLC (RBC), a marketing and PR firm dedicated to helping organizations and businesses enhance their brand image so they can generate future growth and profitability. Prior to starting his own company, Burton served as Director of Communications for MGM Mirage. In addition to Burton’s current position on the Southern Nevada Public Television Board of Directors, he served also as President-elect.
