Vegas PBS Announces Lourdes Esparza as Bilingual Receptionist for Workforce Training & Economic Development


(Las Vegas) – Vegas PBS announced today that Lourdes Esparza has been appointed to a bilingual receptionist position for the station’s Workforce Training and Economic Development department, which offers Global Online Advanced Learning (GOAL), an affordable online education opportunity designed for entry, certification and advancement in today’s workplace.

In her new role, Esparza will assist new customers with registration for the Food Handler Safety Training Card and ServSafe Alcohol® program; serve as a certified proctor for high stakes assessments, which include the new High School Equivalence exams (HiSet and TASC), ServSafe Food Manager Certification and various medical certifications offered from National Health Careers; provide certificates for workforce department courses, troubleshoot accounts, and provide customer service and translation duties.

Prior to joining Vegas PBS, Esparza served as admissions assistant for Nathan Adelson Hospice, assisting with initial patient intake, administrative and translation duties in admission and the in-patient unit. She has also worked for Nevada Institute for Children’s Research & Policy and Ford Motor Credit.

Esparza received a Master Bodyworker and Professional Massage Therapy degree from Utah College of Massage Therapy and attended the College of Southern Nevada.
