FREE SEMINAR: Understanding the Myths and Realities of Charitable Giving

Monday, October 24, 2016
from Noon to 2:00 p.m.
Vegas PBS Educational Technology Campus
3050 E. Flamingo Road

Join Vegas PBS and The Smith Center to learn about the myths and realities of charitable giving. This complimentary seminar will be led by Vegas PBS Planned Giving Council member and attorney Matt Pfau and questions are encouraged!

We hope you can join us to debunk the top 5 myths of annual and planned giving:

Myth 1: Writing a check is always the best way to support a charity.

Myth 2: If you want to leave money to a charity when you pass away, you should simply name the charity in your will.

Myth 3: Most people aren't rich enough to give the sort of gift that would make a difference anyway

Myth 4: Only rich people need to think about tax-driven giving strategies.

Myth 5: Getting a lawyer involved just makes things harder.

Lunch will be provided.
