Vegas PBS to Hold Firearms Background Check Ballot Initiative Discussion Oct. 6
Additional Election Programming Scheduled through Nov. 8

Vegas PBS will hold a roundtable discussion regarding the Nevada Firearms Background Check Initiative, also known as Question 1 on the November 8 ballot, which would prohibit the sale or transfer of a firearm without a federal background check.

Featured guests are Jennifer Crowe, Nevadans for Background Checks; Steve Wolfson, Clark County District Attorney; Ryan Hamilton, Deputy Director of NRA-Nevadans for Freedom; and Stavros Anthony, Las Vegas City Councilman.

Vegas PBS previously announced a roundtable discussion for the marijuana ballot initiative scheduled for Friday, September 30, regarding the legalization to purchase, cultivate and possess marijuana for persons 21 or older. The marijuana ballot initiative discussion will include Joe Brezny, Nevada Cannabis Industry Association; Chris Giunchigliani, Clark County Commissioner District E; Todd Raybuck, Executive Lieutenant at the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department; and Pat Hickey, Nevadans for Responsible Drug Policy.

Both discussions will be moderated by former ‘Nevada Week in Review’ host Mitch Fox.
