Vegas PBS Announces Election 2014 Debates Broadcast Schedule

(Las Vegas) – Vegas PBS Channel 10 will air debates related to federal, state and local races and two ballot initiatives in October 2014. Candidates vying for the offices of Congressional District 3, Lieutenant Governor, Secretary of State, Attorney General and Clark County Sheriff will discuss issues relevant to these elected positions. Also, debates regarding ballot initiatives Questions 2 and 3 are scheduled. Steve Sebelius and Elizabeth Thompson, both political commentators and guest hosts on Vegas PBS’ Nevada Week in Review, will co-moderate all debates.
“As a public service media organization, Vegas PBS is committed to providing independently minded voters with non-commercial, non-sectarian and non-partisan debates that focus on issues elected officials are most likely to confront during their terms and offer exchanges about significant ballot initiatives,” said Vegas PBS General Manager Tom Axtell.
