Leave a Legacy of Learning
On-air television programs like the long-running Nightly Business Report provide in-depth coverage of business and economic news as well as market analysis to keep viewers informed of current financial trends. In addition, television specials like Suze Orman’s Financial Solutions for You help viewers find financial solutions that fit their unique situations and make them feel secure.
As an extension of the business and financial television programs you trust on Vegas PBS, the Vegas PBS Planned Giving Council provides frequent seminars on a variety of topics designed to strengthen financial literacy and encourage financial planning in Southern Nevada. During the 2017 fiscal year, Vegas PBS held nine planned giving seminars and clinics attended by more than 450 individuals. Participants tell us these seminars have helped them make more informed financial decisions and feel more secure.
Earlier this year, seminar topics included Guardianship and Long-Term Care, Pet Trusts, Power of Attorney Clinic, or Wills and Trusts / Charitable Planning. Our fall seminar schedule kicks off on September 27 with Wills and Trusts. The next two months will offer seminars on IRA/RMD & Reverse Mortgages and a Beneficiary Clinic. We hope you can attend one or more of the planned giving seminars to learn how you may protect your loved ones and advance your charitable interests.
For those able to leave an enduring mark on the charities they value, there are many ways to support Vegas PBS with a planned gift to help continue airing the educationally-rich programs that you love. However you decide to set up your planned gift, including a bequest from your will or trust, a charitable IRA rollover, a life insurance policy beneficiary designation, a charitable gift annuity or other options, we will work closely and confidentially with you.
Vegas PBS offers our viewers the support and guidance of some of the valley's most respected estate planning attorneys and certified financial planners who advise Vegas PBS supporters on a pro bono basis. Whatever methods you select, you will become a member of Vegas PBS' Silver Legacy Society, which recognizes legacy donors with special events.
All planned gifts are added to the Southern Nevada Public Television Endowment, which makes long-term planning possible, giving us the flexibility to pursue promising ideas and the capacity to commit to innovative new projects. Gifts to the endowment fund ensure our future as a public service media organization that thousands of Southern Nevadans rely on for television programming, online content, and classroom and community services that educate, inspire and entertain. Our best work happens because of you and your support.
